Fantasy football winner!

Jun 21

So that’s it, 38 hard fought gameweeks, and it all comes down to this, the final Consilium Fantasy Football league table.

For anyone keeping a close eye on the standings for the last few months, they probably knew that, much like with Manchester City in the Premier League, there has been one team able to separate themselves from the chasing pack this season. It was always going to take something special in the final few weeks of the season to bridge the points gap to league leaders Run of the Milner, and that feat proved impossible for long-time closest challenger Prestige World or anyone else.

Run of the Milner ended the season on a whopping 2560 points, 77 clear of second place, and over 100 points clear of every other team in the league, making the team’s manager, Cormac Murphy of Caulfield Insurance, a fully deserving winner of the 2020/21 season!

Huge congratulations to Cormac, whose impressive fantasy football performance is rewarded with the top prize of an Apple Watch.

But Cormac is not the only person with a prize on the way. Congratulations are also in order for Stephen Ashmore of The County Group, whose team Angry Badgers scored 312 points in May to earn him manager of the month, and bottle of champagne.

The question now will be whether Cormac can replicate his dominant championship-winning display next season – no easy task as Liverpool have found this year. Keep checking the Consilium social media channels as we get closer to next season to join our 2021/22 league, and see if you can improve on your position from this year, and most importantly beat your rival brokers!
